Beach Boys
Description:
Upon getting thrown out of his girlfriend Fujiko's apartment, Hiromi (Sorimachi::ONIZUKA from GTO) decides to head
for the ocean. En route, he crosses paths with Kaito (Takenouchi), an elite employee of a large multinational trading
company in Tokyo who is running away from his problems at work after losing a key client. The two stumble into a quiet
Bed&breakfast on the beach run by the aging surfer Masaru and his high-school-aged granddaughter Makoto. Hiromi
immediately applies to work there for the summer, and Kaito is forced to join him after he loses his wallet. The two share a
room, with Hiromi trying to make friends, and Kaito at first resisting, unimpressed by Hiromi's devil-may-care attitude.
This aired in 1997 and unfortunately hasn't appeared on DVD. There are 12 episodes and one special(which is not subbed yet but p2c is subbing it kthx D
I prepared streams and Megaupload downloads, the megaupload ones have similar quality but also bigger filesize and softsubs.

Download the softsubs, extract them in to a folder, then copy the subtitle files in to the same folder as the video files, and name them the same as the episodes
play the video file, if it doesnt show the subs, download the CCCP codec pack with media player classic and play it with that.

Heh, it was one of the best Jdrama's I've ever watched too ^.^ it made me so happy \o/
I haven't done anything with the special for years though, i have a script with some dozen translated lines but nothing complete:(

yeah.. the beautiful thing about Beach Boys is just that it's sooo laid back and relax, and even some parts of it might just make you keep on smiling the entire day.. the "feel good" feeling.. very memorable~!  It's about friendship, family, belonging, love, purpose in life and so much more~! I would happily recommend this Jdrama to anybody i know. And because of this Drama I have a dream of spending my life when I'm around 50+ at the beach.. lolz.. 
Hmm the specials? something I didn't ever had the chance to watch.. is it any good? in your personal opinion? |

Just noticed that you uploaded the DVD version of Beach Boys with the Specialllllllllllll!! Wohooo! Thanks a lot!! Another Beach Boys Marathon coming again, have to watch from episode one! hehe.. Thanks!! |
